The Cub Scout Pack consists of members which are aged 8 – 10 1/2 and are split into smaller groups called Sixes. Cubs take part in a wide range of activities designed to be interesting and challenging. A Cub Scout meeting consists of games and activities with plenty of time spent outdoors. Camps and holidays are some of the most memorable events of the year for Cubs.

I promise that I will do my best
To do my duty to God and to the Queen
To help other people
And to keep the Cub Scout Law

Cub Scout Alternative Promise

I promise that I will do my best
To uphold our Scout values
To do my duty to the Queen
To help other people
And to keep the Cub Scout Law

Cub Scout Law

Cub Scouts always do their best
Think of others before themselves
And do a good turn every day

During their time as a Cub Scout they will be involved in activities and games which will enable them to earn challenge awards, which in themselves form the basis of the programme. There are also a number of activity badges which Cubs can earn at Pack meetings and at home. All Cub Scout activities are based on each child doing their best and a recognition that the level of achievement will vary between individuals.
